See What’s Happening In The Peoria Area This Week



The Penguin Players will present Godspell Jr. at the ICC Performing Arts Center Friday and Saturday, July 17-18 at 7:30pm and Sunday, July 19 at 2:30pm. The Penguin Players is a collaboration of Illinois Central College and the Penguin Project,  a local program which gives individuals 10 to 21 years old with developmental disabilities or special needs the opportunity to participate in the performing arts. The 12th Annual Whitney’s Walk for Life will be taking place July 25th at Jubilee State Park. Whitney’s Walk for Life is designed to raise awareness for depression and suicide prevention and over the course of more than 10 years, they have raised $917,000 for programs across Central Illinois. The Morton Fine Arts Association is hosting Arts in the Park every Thursday from 7-9pm. Arts in the Park is a free concert at Idlewood Park featuring different bands each week. Feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions are available starting at 6:30pm or you are more than welcome to bring a picnic supper. For more information, visit

Members of the Illinois Art League are showing off their work all month long at the Peoria Public Library with the goal being to inspire youth to participate in the arts. The show is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
