Crowd Sings Lyrics As ‘Imagine Dragons’ Voice Fails

Imagine Dragons‘ concert in Houston on Saturday began with a scary moment but ended up being a unique experience for fans.

According to the Houston Chronicle, frontman Dan Reynolds was unable to sing due to some sort of illness, so he asked the fans to sing for him. In between the songs, Reynolds explained the stories behind each track.

“Houston I’m so sorry for tonight,” Reynolds tweeted Saturday. “I thought I could sing through the sickness but I could not. And you sang for me. Thank you [with] all my heart.”

With a concert scheduled in New Orleans on Sunday, Reynolds visited a doctor, who told him that one of his vocal cords wasn’t moving for an “unknown reason.” “I literally thought my career was over,” Reynolds tweeted. “[The doctor] said it could be stress related but didn’t know.””
