Houndmouth: On Tour @ The Canopy Club

Houndmouth is an American alternative blues band from New Albany, Indiana, led by Matt Myers (guitar, vocals). Formed in 2011, they gained attention after performing at SXSW in 2012, leading to a record deal with Rough Trade. Their 2013 debut album, From the Hills Below the City, brought national recognition with appearances on Letterman, Conan, and major festivals like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. Their 2015 breakout album, Little Neon Limelight, featured the platinum-selling hit “Sedona,” solidifying their reputation for blending roots and rock with vivid storytelling.

Their latest album, Good For You, produced by Brad Cook and mixed by Jon Ashley, embraces a warm, unhurried sound shaped in their longtime creative space, the Green House. The record captures fleeting, dreamlike moments through rich characters and stripped-down instrumentation. Tracks like the title song and “Miracle Mile” showcase their evolved storytelling, while “Las Vegas” brings a freewheeling energy reminiscent of their early days. The album reflects Houndmouth’s growth while staying true to the raw, heartfelt spirit that first defined them.
