Roxy’s Retro 9/30/22 Panic! At the Disco “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”

I LOVE MUSIC FESTIVALS SOOOOO MUCH! IT IS ONE OF THEEE BEST WAYS TO GET YOUR NEW MUSIC DISCOVERY ON, YOU KNOW…EXPAND YOUR MUSICAL HORIZONS! BACK IN THE EARLY 2000’S I WAS INTRODUCED TO EMO POP ROCK AT A MUSIC FEST, IT WAS VANS WARPED TOUR, AND I FELL HARD FOR FALL OUT BOY. THE GUYS FROM WILMETTE ILLINOIS JUST ROCKED, AND I LOVED THE NAMES OF THEIR SONGS…THEY WERE CLEVER, CREATIVE, AND LONG. SOON AFTER WARPED TOUR, I HEAR THEIR NEW SONG ON THE RADIO, WITH ONE OF THOSE CREATIVE AND LONG TITLES. “I WRITE SINS NOT TRAGEDIES”…IT IS A BOP, BUUUUT…IT WASN’T FALL OUT BOY AT ALL! NOPE…IT WAS PANIC AT THE DISCO…AND GET THIS…FALL OUT BOY’S BASSIST, THE LOVELY PETE WENT, WAS PANIC’S MANAGER! WHAT WHAT WHAAAAT? TOTALLY MAKES SENSE! NOW IT IS AN EMO CLASSIC THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! THE BRANDON URIE FRONTED EMO ROCKERS PANIC AT THE DISCO’S 2005 HIT SINGLE, “I WRITE SINS NOT TRAGEDIES”…SOLID BOP TO TAKE YOU INTO THE WEEKEND…NOW CLOSE THE GD DOOR!!! ~ROXY
