2025 Peoria Blues & Heritage Festival

The Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival proudly announces its 35th Annual Celebration, returning to the scenic Peoria Riverfront on Labor Day Weekend, August 29-30, 2025. A beloved staple in the Central Illinois music scene, the festival invites music lovers to celebrate three and a half decades of world-class blues, roots, southern rock, Americana, and soul music—right in the heart of downtown Peoria. This year’s milestone event will be headlined by a powerhouse lineup including southern rock legends Gov’t Mule, Grammy-award winning blues singer Ruthie Foster, genre-blending blues rocker ZZ Ward, fan-favorite blues warriors Tommy Castro & The Painkillers, and electric blues sensation Ana Popovic. Many more national, regional, and local acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

What began 35 years ago as the Illinois Blues Festival has grown into a multi-genre celebration of heritage and sound—drawing thousands each year to experience music by the water in a city filled with Midwest charm. After all this time the festival has become tradition… Organizers are excited to continue bringing incredible blues, southern rock, and soul artists to town and providing a getaway along the Illinois River for local Peoria music lovers and those traveling throughout Illinois and the midwest.
