Nikki

Hey – it’s Nikki!
When they told me I needed to write a biography about myself, I just sat there and thought, “Yeah…and what the heck am I going to talk about? I’m not THAT interesting.” And truth be told, I’m not that interesting. My husband and I met in 2014 at Illinois Central College; we both went to Illinois State University together, and then married in 2018. I went to school for Mass Media: Management, Promotion, and Sales – and I kind of ended up falling into this whole “radio thing.” I’ve now been in radio for eleven years.
My husband and I live in a small town outside of Peoria, surrounded by corn and bean fields. We love our little town and have fantastic neighbors. We have a 105lb love-bug of a dog named Hogan who we adopted shortly after we got married. In 2021 we welcomed our first son, Oliver. My husband and I have found that being parents is one of the most challenging roles ever, but we LOVE being parents. Oliver is just the funniest and sweetest guy on the planet. After the loss of our daughter, Ruth, in 2023, we welcomed our rainbow baby, Micah in August 2024. Having two kids has definitely been a game changer, but watching the two of them grow together has already been one of the most rewarding things ever.
In my spare time, I like doing anything and everything with my kids, from riding bikes and going to the playground, to going to Costco. I also enjoy freaky, scary movies…I mean, we’re talking the creepier the better (not gory, though) as well as crocheting and gardening.
